El anfiteatro

El anfiteatro de Cartagena fue un anfiteatro romano construido en la ciudad de Carthago Nova (Cartagena), y situado sobre el cerro de la Concepción. En el siglo 1 a.c se construyó y cimentó sobre él la Plaza de toros.

En la actualidad se está procediendo a su excavación integral y se ha constituido una fundación para la restauración y musealización del yacimiento.

The Cartagena amphitheater was a Roman amphitheater built in the city of Carthago Nova (Cartagena), and located on the hill of La Concepción. In the 1st century BC the bullring was built and cemented on it.

At present, it is proceeding to its integral excavation and a foundation for the restoration and musealization of the site has been established.
