Playa de Mónsul II

En ninguna otra parte del Parque Natural queda mejor reflejado el origen volcánico del mismo. Las rocas que rodean la playa de Mónsul son enormes lenguas de lava que llegaron hasta el mar y que el agua y el viento han ido erosionando para formar esta playa y tallar este diamante del mar Mediterráneo. En medio de la playa destaca una gran roca que se ha convertido en el emblema de esta playa, y del parque natural, llamada la Peineta de Mónsul. La Peineta tiene forma de ola gigante que parece que quiera volver al mar. En esa parte de la playa tiene una subida accesible y la parte de la roca que toca al mar es un pequeño acantilado.

Nowhere else in the Natural Park is its volcanic origin better reflected. The rocks that surround Mónsul beach are huge tongues of lava that reached the sea and that water and wind have been eroding to form this beach and carve this diamond of the Mediterranean Sea. In the middle of the beach, there is a large rock that has become the emblem of this beach, and of the natural park, called La Peineta de Mónsul. La Peineta is shaped like a giant wave that seems to want to return to the sea. In that part of the beach it has an accessible ascent and the part of the rock that touches the sea is a small cliff.
