En el Museo Muelle de las Carabelas se encuentran las reproducciones de La Niña, La Pinta y La Santa María que se construyeron en 1992 para celebrar el V Centenario del Descubrimiento de América. Recibe el nombre de Muelle de las Carabelas.
Además de las réplicas de los barcos, su principal reclamo turístico, el Museo Muelle de las Carabelas cuenta con un centro de interpretación, el barrio medieval (recreado alrededor de la dársena) y la Isla del Encuentro, en la que se ha intentado recrear la cultura indígena de la Isla de Guanahani, primera isla en la que desembarcó Cristobal Colón, el 12 de Octubre de 1492, y a la que nombró San Salvador.
